We were seated quickly despite it being busy. I really enjoyed my eggs benedict with ham. My boyfriend got the pulled pork burrito, but he didn't love it (too dry). The hollandaise on my benedict was really nice. If you save a teensy bit of appetite, the Grand Central Bakery is directly across the street and their baked goods are amazing (cinnamon roll was still warm, omg).

First time here and I tried the bennie's hasbrowns (bacon, ham, egg Benedict (2) on crispy hasbrowns) and wow, the taste was great, loved the eggs Benedict flavor and the portions were even better. I only ate about half and was so full. Took the rest to go and ate it as another meal later that day. To drink, we tried the Caramel cappuccino and hot chocolate and I wasn't a fan. The service was good, quick and the place was big, open and clean.

Alright, this is my no. 1 spot for pancakes in all of Vancouver/Portland (with nuance, keep reading). The chai blueberry pancake is amazing, such a depth of warm spices (if you love chai OR pancakes, I think they are a must try). The reason I can't give it 5 stars is $8.50 for one pancake that isn't the same size as the plate feels steep. Full size portions of the french toast and other options are generous and more than enough to share or split, just felt like the size of the pancakes gotten smaller over the years which bums me out. Service was fast and they keep your coffee filled!

Jam on Hawthorne offers a delightful establishment to experience solid brunch in the Portland area. All the staff were attentive and provided efficient service that complements its tasty food. The menu boasts a variety of classic brunch items, and each dish we tried was crafted with precision. Our table's favorite was the Maddie Cakes; I thought the texture was perfect and the lemon-ricotta added a nice balance to the blueberry compote. The overall sweetness of the pancakes was perfect so I didn't feel the need to add any additional syrup or jam. While the restaurant offers a large seating area and outdoor benches, it could get quite packed on the weekends. I arrived on a late Saturday afternoon and had about a 45-minute wait. However, the host did mention we were able to order drinks at the side window. I appreciated that we could enjoy our coffee and mimosas while waiting for our table to be ready.

A Portland favorite. A Portland staple. And this visit reiterates why. This has been a go to for cravings and taking city visitors to. Because if it's commitment to consistency and integrity there usually is a physical line to dine. Update to this is a man automated text system that allows you to wait in your comfort of walking around, in the car, or whatever is your "jam". Plenty of seating. Staff is great. Food is delicious. Try everything. I'm serious.

I'll just get this out of the way first - the coffee was terrible. I had it both iced and hot and both tasted really bad. Knocking one star for that. BUT OTHERWISE delicious! I had the steelhead hash which was a special and it was one of the best things I've ever eaten. Such a good portion. Delicious steelhead, two eggs poached, hollandaise over hash browns. I got rye toast. Loved it so much. My waitress was very sweet. They were really busy but I felt well attended to. It was cool that there was a drinks window outside so you could get something while you waited. Inside was pleasant. Would come back again next time I'm in the area.

We were treated to a great breakfast in Portland at this popular spot. The wait was about 40 minutes but it was perfect since we got to explore the interesting selection of shops along the avenue Service was pleasant and quite fast despite the full house. Their menu has a good selection including vegan and vegetarian dishes. I got the biscuits and gravy with a side of cheesy grits. The vegetarian dish featured a good tasty vegetarian sausage and gravy on a homemade delicious biscuit. Hubby had a Benedict that was nicely dressed with just a little hollandaise and not drenched in a heavy sauce. Our little one had the vegan tofu that was nice, crisp on the outside and seasoned well. The oatmeal blueberry vegan pancakes were really good. The portion is big so I would suggest one that can be shared. Great fresh food with lots of vegan or Vegetarian options and something for everyone.
